I want to go shorter.
I still feel that my hair is gross - in that it could be a lot healthier, and easier to grow out this winter, if it's shorter.

| Shaved Heads/Partial Shaves |

So my mom was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and begins her chemo treatments in a few weeks. She's having a REALLY difficult time with the idea of losing her hair and I wanted to comfort her. However, she insisted that it would be silly for me to shave my entire head, esp being so close to working at some important internships. SO, girls with portions of their head shaved or buzzed short (< one inch please). Or if anyone has been in this situation, what to do. I'm at a loss of this point and I'm running out of motivational speeches.

| Hard Water Havoc |

Two months ago I moved to a part of town with hard water and now I'm really seeing the effects of it on my hair. I started using the same shampoo and conditioner I used the last time I lived in an area with hard water (Jason Organics 84% Aloe Vera) and it's not working the same because of a different type of hard water. So what can I do to fix this? I've heard of using aspirin paste, a baking soda paste, a vinegar rinse, and clarifying shampoos to remove the build up on hair from hard water. What do you folks use? |

so i remember seeing in a magazine (either heat or closer) some thickening spray, and it's supposed to make your hair feel abit thicker? has anyone used any kind of thickening spray and did it work? obviously i'm not expecting my hair to be tons thicker by using it but my hair is just so fine and flat, and i don't want to get extentions to make it look thicker. can anyone recommend a good brand also? something that's available at superdrug/boots/asda as i live in the uk. thanks! |
